Development of a Whole of Agency Procurement Model
Our client needed a strategic whole of agency procurement model. The approach taken by BvW was simple but thorough, undertake a review of current procurement operations, model best practice, define the gap and develop a new procurement charter for the agency Procurement Branch.
The approach for this his customer centric approach. Specifically, the way in which the final solution focused on customer value as defined by the internal customers.
The road map developed marked the immediate direction for the subsequent 24-36 months. The recommendations for this charter have to a large degree been implemented and remain ongoing. Moreover, a tangible and direct result has been the very significant increase in the level of customer engagements with strategic procurement.
Project success and success for the an ongoing strategy is achieved by closely listening to the needs and requirements of internal customers. This approach allows to not only achieve a successful project within a defined timeframe, but also allows to realise these benefits over time due to the colse engagement of the internal stakeholders in the make up of the strategy, and subsequent implementations.
